In October 2009, Vishal J.Singh ( The design consultant behind Solar Design Services ) received a certificate in recognition of winning a design competition organised by the British Council of Kuala Lumpur, for his submission of five as built projects in the field of architecture and interior design, commissioned in Malaysia.
The prize resulted in the opportunity to represent the country in an international design symposium in Seoul, South Korea, in a prestigious design conference called the Seoul Design Olympiad 2009. The five following presentation panels below constitute the winning entry as prepared by Vishal J. Singh.
The international symposium was called the 48 Hour Inclusive Design Challenge, and as a result of winning the competition here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Vishal J.Singh was sent to Seoul, South Korea to attend the exciting conference alongside with other winners and contestants from all over the world, which includes countries like the United Kingdom, Portugal, Bosnia, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Indonesia and of course, South Korea herself.
The images shown below showcases and highlights his active participation at the Seoul Design Olympiad 2009, supplemented with pictures of the conference and the venue itself, and of course of the various international participants who attended the conference and made it a memorable and resounding success.
In March 2010, Vishal J.Singh was invited by the British Council here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to present his thoughts and portfolio in an innovative presentation technique called Pecha Kucha. Pecha Kucha (pronounced peh-chak-cha) is a presentation format that started in Tokyo, Japan in 2003 by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham Architecture, in which presenters give a slideshow of 20 images. Each slide is shown for only 20 seconds, giving a total presentation time of only 6 minutes 40 seconds to the public.
The following were also invited to present that night, showcasing a wide variety of very talented proessionals
that night, and it was an undeniable privilge to be part of this amazing line up of speakers.

The following are samples of the images shown during the presentation, entitled “Passion and Discovery” . The presentation centers on the idea that passion in an absolutely nessesary ingriedent in the execution of good
design principles and exercises, and it was hoped that the presentation would inspire other people to work on their passions as well to achieve their long tern dreams and aspirations.
